Curriculum for this age concentrates on transitional skills. Teachers work with the students to help them eat more solid food, hold and use eating utensils, sit at tables for meals, sit and listen to stories, sleep on nap mats, and transition from pacifiers and bottles to sippy cups and water bottles. In addition to those life skills, the teachers use verbal and sign language to develop a child’s vocabulary from babbling to comprehensible words.
